27 Weeks Pregnant

Week 27

Week & size of baby: 27 weeks preggo and Cruz is the size of a cucumber. Not sure how we went from an eggplant last week to a cucumber this week, the app must be referring to the length of her. She’s around 15 inches and 2.2lbs (this is approximate, not what doc told me).

Preggo Fun fact: Two bumps are better than one! Loved seeing my preggo friend Susie in LA. She’s 16 weeks here and couldn’t be cuter.

Trimester: 3rd trimester!!!!!

Movement: Her kicks are starting to wake me up in the middle of the night. It makes me happy knowing she is growing stronger everyday.

How many weeks left: 13 weeks

Symptoms: This week was really hard emotionally, I missed my family, girlfriends in SD, school, work, and the ocean. Thank goodness my trip to LA is later this week!

Pregnancy Items: I bought the Ta Ta Tamer III from Lululemon in a bigger size this week, mainly because I’m running Rock n Roll LA Half Marathon this coming weekend.

Favorite Recipes/Meals This Week: There is nothing better than cottage cheese + fruit and whole wheat waffle after a hard workout!

Exciting news: I ran 10 miles!!!!!!! I have to be honest though, I almost pooped my pants at mile 5. So, halfway through that run I had a nice long break. I could’ve easily just stopped after my little incident but I was determined to finish the 10 I set out to do. I couldn’t be more proud of myself and that pace!!!!!

Sorry if this was too much to handle, but you aren’t a true runner if you’ve never been in this kind of situation!

Best moment of the week: Finish Line Women Brunch was the highlight of my week. If it wasn’t for Finish Line I would’ve never met these inspiring women.

The brunch was held at Pot Cafe in the Line Hotel. Each girl was hooked up with Adidas Ultra Boosts and the cutest Adidas gym bag.

Best news of all, I drank a mimosa!

Week 27 Workout: 

Sun: 10 mile run {Run details: 1:30:26, 9:02 pace}

Mon: Rest

Tues: 1.5 mile run + 3 miles Camelback Mountain hike

Wed: .78m run to gym + Strength workout at Bodi + .75m run home

Modified workout: instead of pushup plank row I did modified push ups with row, instead of v ups I did side plank, instead of pull ups I did lat pull downs with resistance band, instead of step ups I did lunges (I made these changes because either the workout felt awake or I didn’t feel it was safe for me to be doing at 27 weeks)

Thurs: Prenatal Yoga at Modern Milk

Fri: Rest (Fly to LAX for Rock n Roll Half)

Sat: Rest (Finish Line Women Brunch)
