15 Weeks Pregnant

Week 15

Week & size of baby: 15 weeks pregnant & Blueberry is the size of an orange

Total weight gain: I don’t weigh myself regularly because I think the scale is the devil. I know I’m doing everything in my control to eat healthy and exercise so I don’t pay too much attention to that. I have the same philosophy I did before I got pregnant, I eat when I’m hungry and I stop when I’m satisfied.

Symptoms: Suuuper exhausted this week. It could be because I participated in my first SPRINT TRIATHLON!!! Luckily I am on summer break so I have the time to take lots of naps.

Sleep: I have to sleep with my long feathery pillow between my legs every night. I don’t sleep on my stomach anymore, just on my sides or back. It’s not very comfortable sleeping on my tummy anymore, not that I really slept like that anyway.

Clothes: This might be too much to share but I don’t care…I hate wearing clothes! I prefer to be naked as a blue jay, it’s so freeing! And I definitely don’t sleep with any clothes either, something I never really did before.

Miss anything: I miss all the crazy energy I had! There’s some days where I just can’t do much but clean the house and cook. Every week is different and I just have to roll with the punches. Whenever I have the energy I take advantage of it and workout/get shit done.

Movement: I kind of feel flutters but it could be my stomach, not really sure.

Food cravings: Cereal! But, I haven’t really given in because milk hurts my tummy.

I’ve been obsessed with watching the food network!!! My favorite show has been carnival eats, love watching all the creations they make.

I have been spending a lot of time in the kitchen and whipping up healthy creations. Below is my bagel omelet sandwich, similar recipe here.

Looking forward to: Starting grad school!! I start August 29th, 2016 and will be taking 4 classes. It was tough deciding what to do about grad school, but I chose to enroll for Fall 2016, take a leave of absence for Spring 2017 (when Blueberry is due), and return in Fall 2017. I want Blueberry to know that he/she can do whatever they put their mind to and that having a passion is so important!

Workout:

Sun: Solana Beach Sprint Triathlon (1/4 mile swim, 9 mile bike, 5k run)
Mon: Rest (tired from tri, not sore though)
Tues: 3 mile bike, 1 mile run + 25 mins of HIIT
Wed: 8 mile run (9:35 pace, 1:16:39)
Thurs: Rest
Fri: 4 mile run + 30 min upper body circuit
Sat: 8 mile run (9:18 pace, 1:14:39)

Andy!! You are so freaking amazing! I dont know how you continue to work out so much! You are unstoppable! and the note about being nakey lololol 100% agreed! Free as a blue jay!!!

Aww thanks Susie! Exercise has honestly been my therapy, if I don’t do it I just don’t feel right. And I am also signed up for a Half Ironman so I gota stay on top of training 🙂 naked it the best!
