Helloooo Second Trimester
I feel a lot better than I did in the first trimester. But, from what I hear my first trimester wasn’t even all that bad. I feel very lucky!
I’m getting more and more excited to meet Blueberry and be a Mommy.
Week & size of baby: 14 weeks pregnant & Blueberry is the size of lemon (3 inches & weighs 1.5oz)
Total weight gain: During my first prenatal apt at 6 weeks I was 117lbs and now I’m at 119lbs. So, I’d say I have gained a couple pounds.
Symptoms: I feel pretty good. My stomach has started to cramp/ache, but doc says it’s just my uterus growing. I have a couple headaches here and there so I am trying to be well hydrated.
I have been extra extra sensitive and have cried a lot this week. I have had really bad dreams about losing Blueberry and wake up crying to Joey. This baby is so precious to me and the thought of anything happening to Blueberry terrifies me.
Sleep: I have’t been able to sleep through the night without having to go pee. It’s pretty annoying having to get up every 2-3 hours. I thought this doesn’t happen until later in the pregnancy, but I’m guessing my uterus is just growing and pushing on my bladder already.
Clothes: I no longer fit my fancy work pants! Below is what has been working for me. Not sure how much longer I’ll be able to do this. I may just need to wear leggings everyday.
I also no longer fit XS/Small in shirts, all that fits comfortably is MED and flowy tops. And when I run I have to wear 2 sports bra otherwise my boobs hurt.
Miss anything: I miss mimosas!! Is that bad? When this baby is born I’m popping bottles!!!
Movement: I haven’t felt anything. Doc says around 20 weeks I will feel kicks!
Food cravings: Nope. I mean from time to time I’ll crave cereal or pizza, but nothing out of the ordinary. Luckily I have the same eating habits as I did pre pregnancy. I have been eating pretty dang healthy and taking my prenatal vitamins. More about what I eat throughout the day here!
Ingredients: quinoa, cilantro, black beans, roasted spicy peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, lime for dressing, spinach
Anything making you queasy or sick: If I haven’t eaten in a couple hours I feel soooo sick! I have learned to always be prepared wherever I go. I always have an apple, CLIF bar, or hummus + carrots on me. And I ALWAYS have a water bottle with me.
Baby Bump: I am growing a pooch. It hasn’t popped yet, I just look like I’m bloated from overeating.

Reality Check: Somedays I feel like doing absolutely nothing and so I listen to my body and rest. But then I feel lazy AF. I have to constantly remind myself I am growing a baby!!
Sun: 1 hr rock climbing
Mon: 2 mile run + 2 rounds 20 reps: bicep curls, squats, deadlifts, push ups, burpees
Tues:1 hour bike + 3 mile run
Wed: 30 min swim
Fri: 100 meter run (0.06 miles)
